Helping you find clarity and purpose as you move forward

The journey to improved mental health can be enjoyable and relaxing.

In the same way you would use a cast and physiotherapy to rest and heal a broken arm, some perspective, time, support and effort are often needed to get through mental and emotional difficulties.

Hypnotherapy can help connect you to your desires, eliminate obstacles, and find the resources you need to move forward towards a happier, more connected life.

A Solution Focused approach

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a modern approach that uses the power of positive, goal-oriented thinking to help you manage challenges and build a more resilient mindset. Whether you're looking to reduce stress, improve confidence, or overcome a specific obstacle, hypnotherapy works with your subconscious to create lasting change.

Solution Focussed Therapy (SFT), Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) are some of the well-established techniques I use, to gently focus you on positive change and help you learn beneficial new tools for coping.

If you want to know more about how hypnotherapy can help you break out of unwanted patterns, and move towards peace and fulfilment, get in touch.

I offer a free of charge, informal chat either over the phone or at Elixir Health and Wellbeing, prior to booking your first session.

More about Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy, much like counselling, is a conscious, client-led form of talk therapy that helps individuals manage and overcome mental health issues, emotional challenges, and problematic behaviours.

In hypnotherapy sessions with Ellie, this makes up the first 30 minutes of the 1 hour session, and is followed by hypnosis for the second half.

Hypnosis is a deeply relaxed state, sometimes referred to as trance, where the subconscious mind becomes more open to positive suggestions. It’s almost like day-dreaming, or that space between being awake and falling asleep. During trance we can help to uncover, reprogramme and resolve deep-seated issues that may not be accessible through conscious thought alone.

Key Aspects of Hypnotherapy:

  1. Behavioural Change: The psychotherapy section tends to focus on identifying what a client would like from life, and on working out what unwanted behaviours and thought patterns need rewiring to get there.

  2. Guided Process: The hypnotherapist guides the client into a hypnotic state and uses therapeutic techniques, such as reframing for example, to address specific goals.

  3. Subconscious Focus: Hypnosis targets the subconscious mind, where many of our habits and deeply rooted issues reside.

  4. Short-Term Intervention: In many cases, significant results can be achieved in just a few sessions.
