Meet Ellie

Qualifications

I hold the Hypnotherapy Practitioners Diploma (HPD) and the Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSfH), from Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training , as well as a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy (DCH) from Inspirology Hypnotherapy Training.

I have a Diploma in Health Food Retailing and am a qualified yoga and meditation instructor.

The Hypnotherapy Practitioners Diploma is accredited by the NCFE and so enables my registration with the National Council for Hypnotherapy, which is regulated by the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). I am also a member of the National Board for Modern Psychotherapy (NBMP).

I have frequent supervision with a qualified hypnotherapy supervisor (Tiffany Armitage), and I participate in Continued Professional Development to keep me fresh and up to date.

My Story

My introduction to hypnotherapy took place in 2021, when I sought help for chronic shoulder pain. I’d suffered for many years and it held me back from doing the things I loved; I was always scared of ‘angering’ my shoulder by overdoing it.

Physiotherapy and yoga hadn’t touched it, and nothing showed up on an X-ray or an ultrasound. A good friend quit smoking after just two hypnotherapy sessions so I decided to give it a go, suspecting at this point my pain was stress-related. After only a couple of hypnotherapy sessions I felt so much better in every way, including my shoulder pain, and decided to take up swimming and running.

Two years on and I deal with stress better, have tons more confidence, and the pain is gone. I’m actually amazed that I’ve been able to get past this massive stumbling block, the dreaded shoulder that used to keep me awake at night.

In addition to all that I discovered my own calling as a hypnotherapist.
