Qualifications
I hold the Hypnotherapy Practitioners Diploma (HPD) and the Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSfH), from Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training , as well as a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy (DCH) from Inspirology Hypnotherapy Training.
I have a Diploma in Health Food Retailing and am a qualified yoga and meditation instructor.
The Hypnotherapy Practitioners Diploma is accredited by the NCFE and so enables my registration with the National Council for Hypnotherapy, which is regulated by the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). I am also a member of the National Board for Modern Psychotherapy (NBMP).
I have frequent supervision with a qualified hypnotherapy supervisor (Tiffany Armitage), and I participate in Continued Professional Development to keep me fresh and up to date.
My Story
My first experience with hypnotherapy in 2021 was deeply personal—I wasn’t looking for a career change, just a way to ease my chronic shoulder pain.
For years, the pain had been a constant presence, limiting what I could do and making me hesitant to push myself. Physiotherapy and yoga hadn’t helped, and medical scans found nothing wrong. It was frustrating, but I had started to suspect that stress might be playing a role.
A good friend had stopped smoking after just two hypnotherapy sessions, which awoke my curiosity. I decided to try it myself, not quite knowing what to expect. After just a couple of sessions, I noticed a real shift—not just in my shoulder, but in how I felt overall. My stress levels dropped, my confidence grew, and I found myself wanting to move more, to do more. I started swimming again, then running.
Four years on, the pain is gone, and I feel more in tune with myself than ever before. That experience led me to train as a hypnotherapist, and now I help others overcome the things holding them back—whether it’s stress, anxiety, or the weight of old habits.
